Description

When I was trying to shoot the Orion Nebula for my daughter, I had to wait several hours for it to clear the trees in my yard.  So, I pointed the scope at the Pleiades just to see whether I could capture any of the dusty nebulosity around the perimeter any better at f/1.9 rather than at my last attempt with the RedCat51 at f/4.9.  If the rule of thumb of (f-ratio 1/f-ratio 2)^2 holds true, this current attempt at 2.5 hours of integration is the same as trying to capture nearly 17 hours of data with the RedCat. All this with a OSC camera as opposed to monochrome on the RedCat shooting LRGB.

Pretty awesome physics, and I was definitely able to get more dust captured than I was even having the RedCat51 out for 13 hours the last time!  Hope you enjoy!
